All car rentals in Wednesbury are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle pickup. This document outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:
- To hire a vehicle in Wednesbury, you must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions may differ depending on the vehicle type, with possible extra charges for drivers under 25. A valid full driving licence suited for the vehicle category is required, held for the minimum period outlined in the Rental Agreement. You must also present valid identification and proof of your current address, along with valid payment information and a security deposit. Any additional criteria specified in the Rental Agreement must be met.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Wednesbury office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is essential to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. Upon return, the vehicle should be in the same condition as when it was collected, accounting for standard wear and tear. Any newly identified damage will be evaluated, and charges may apply. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as it was provided; refueling fees will be incurred if the fuel level is lower. Late returns could result in extra charges, so please notify us as soon as possible if you expect to return the vehicle late. You will be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during the rental period, in addition to an administrative fee.
Insurance and Liability Coverage
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance. Details regarding coverage and excess amounts are outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to help lower your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options closely. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance applies. Damage from negligence, misuse, or violations of these Terms remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ depending on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to appear may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rented Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes or activities. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or any hazardous driving is prohibited. Transporting dangerous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly against policy. Do not exceed passenger or weight limits or drive outside the authorized geographical boundaries.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Wednesbury will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business related to your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the rental amount paid in the prior 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Applicable Law in Wednesbury
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
10. Modifications to Terms
